In 2020, Shinhan Bank in Vietnam was granted the award “Best foreign retail bank Vietnam 2020” by International Business Magazine. Also in 2020, Shinhan Bank has the honor to receive the award "HR Asia Best Companies To Work For in Asia" for the second time, from the well- respected regional HR Asia publication.

    Representative Office in Vietnam was opened.

    1 branchShinhan Bank became one of the first five 100% foreign banks in Vietnam.

    9 branches and transaction officesMerged with Shinhan Vina Bank, became Shinhan Bank Vietnam, the largest foreign bank in terms of Chartered Capital at that time.

    10 branches and transaction officesReceived Merit Certificate of Governor of State Bank of Vietnam for having excellent performance in 2012 – 2013

    18 branches and transaction officesReceived 2015 Golden Dragon Award from Vietnam Economy Times.

  • 2017

    26 branches and transaction officesAcquired ANZ Vietnam’s retail banking business segment with 8 more branches and transaction offices of ANZ.
