A smart application exclusively for Android mobile device that helps users to pay with their device without having to carry cash in person or having to swipe cards as usual.
Google Pay is available for all Shinhan VISA international credit/debit cards for consumer/corporate customers. Just add your card to Google Wallet™ to get started.

How to set up

Step 1: Open the Google Wallet app or download it on Google Play

Google Pay supports all Android mobile devices from Nougat 7.0 and above.

Step 2: Sign in to your Google account

When you firstly open Google Wallet, you will be asked to log in your Google account. If you do not have one, you can create right there.

Step 3: Set up a finger print/PIN/iris security method on your mobile device

Step 4: To add your Shinhan VISA card to Google Wallet, tap ‘Add to Wallet’ and follow the instructions

All Shinhan VISA consumer and corporate credit/debit cards can be added to Google Wallet for contactless payments with Google Pay.

How secure is Google Pay?

Google Pay is more secure than using a physical debit or credit card. Your actual card number will be encrypted during the transaction and this helps protect you from privacy regulations breaches.

Can Google Pay make online purchases?

Google Pay can be used to make transactions in stores, make in-app payments, and make online payments.

What should I do if my device is lost or stolen?

If your device is lost or stolen, you can use Find My Device service to lock Google Pay (remotely disable) or to delete Google Pay (remove all the payment cards registered onto your device).

To enhance the security, please contact Shinhan Bank via 1900 1577 to suspend the "token value" of the registered Shinhan VISA cards on Google Pay.
