Samsung Pay |tap| and pay

Samsung Pay is a secure and easy-to-use mobile payment service designed for Samsung smartphones. It enables customer to integrate Shinhan card information into his/her Samsung mobile device to make fast and secured transactions just by simply tap the device on the terminal (POS) at almost all retailers.
Being the pioneer bank in implementing this service in Vietnam, Shinhan Bank allows all kinds of Shinhan Visa consumer or corporate credit/debit card, transfered ANZ cards or Shinhan NAPAS domestic debit card to be integrated to Samsung Pay.

How to set up

Step 1: Log in Samsung Pay app

Samsung Pay is already integrated on Samsung new smartphone from Note 8, Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+, S7/S7 Edge, S6 Edge Plus, Note 5, A9 Pro, A5 (2016) and A7 (2016) need to be updated android version and download Samsung Pay app from Google Play

Step 2: Sign in with your Samsung account

When you first open Samsung Pay, you shall be requested to log in your Samsung account. If you do not have one, you can create right there.

Step 3: Choose your authentication method: Irises / fingerprint /PIN

The authentication method shall be used to authenticate your future purchases with Samsung Pay

Step 4: Register Shinhan card information

You can register Shinhan card information by scanning the physical card plate with your mobile camera or simply key in the card number.
You can register up to 10 payment cards in Samsung Pay

Step 5: Choose your method to authenticate with Shinhan Bank

To verify the inputed information, Samsung Pay shall request you to authenticate with Shinhan Bank either via SMS or phone call to Contact Center 19001577

Step 6: Input your sample signature

The seller may in some case requests for your signature to ensure you are the cardholder.

Then your Samsung mobile device is now ready to make payments

What is Samsung Pay?

Which Shinhan Bank card can be registered on Samsung Pay?

All Shinhan Visa consumer/corporate credit/debit cards, transfered ANZ cards and Shinhan NAPAS domestic debit cards can be registered on Samsung Pay app.

How secure is Samsung Pay?

Samsung Pay uses tokenisation, a Secure Environment, and Samsung KNOX to secure your payment information. In addition, you can verify either with your irises, fingerprint or a 4-digit PIN when making purchases.

Can Samsung Pay make online purchases?

Not currently. Samsung Pay currently supports in-store payments.

What should I do if my device is lost or stolen?

If your device is lost or stolen, you can use Samsung’s Find My Mobile service to Lock Samsung Pay (remotely disable) or to Wipe Samsung Pay (remove all the payment cards registered onto your device).
To ensure the security, you please contact Shinhan Bank 1900 1577 to suspend the "token value" of the registered Shinhan cards on Samsung Pay
