From 1993, Shinhan Bank opened the first representative office in Ho Chi Minh City and became one of the pioneers to promote the formal diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea. In December 2008, Shinhan Vietnam Bank was licensed to become one of the first five 100% foreign owned banks in Vietnam. “Shinhan – Inspiring Young Talent 2017” is the annual scholarship of Shinhan Bank dedicates to the university’s students at prestigious universities in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Upon the qualification, each student will be granted 32.000.000 VND/ scholarship for their last year in university, including: tuition, expense fees and invitation to Shinhan’s various events and activities within the program. SHINHAN Bank wants to help the junior students to concentrate on their last year in university without any concern about the tuition and other expenses such as: books, materials and living expenses …etc
Besides the financial aid, eligible students for the SHINHAN scholarship also have the opportunities to:
+ Invitation to the professional and soft skills trainings by SHINHAN experts
+ Intern at SHINHAN Bank
+ Work at SHINHAN Bank after graduation
+ Invitation to SHINHAN’s annual activities and events such as: Shinhan Olympic, Shinhan Global Ambassador, Customer Satisfaction contest and other activities..etc.
Number of scholarship will be granted in 2017: 20 students (Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City)
Requirements to apply for SHINHAN scholarship:

2. Prerequistires:
+ Good educational background, GPA of the first 5 semesters must be 7.5 and above.
+ Good attitude, analysis, public speaking and good English skills.
+ Good logical thinking, creative, communication skills and team work is preferred.
To apply for SHINHAN’s scholarship, students must send their applications in the following order:

+ Copy of official transcript of the first 05 semesters with the university’s notarization
+ English essay to the topic in scholarship application form
+ Other certificates (if any)
Timeline for Selection & Interview Process:
+ Receiving application: from June 07, 2017 to June 28, 2017
+ IQ, EQ Test: from June 28, 2017 to July 03, 2017
+ Interview: from July 04, 2017 to July 14, 2017
+ Result announcement: from July 20, 2017 to July 26, 2017
+ Scholarship granting: September to October 2017
