Dear Valued Customers,

Pursuant to Circular 17/2024/TT-NHNN and Circular 18/2024/TT-NHNN of the State Bank of Vietnam, from January 1st 2025, your demand accounts and card transactions will be interrupted in following cases:

1. For Individual Customer:Temporarily suspend payment and cash withdrawal transactions via demand accounts and/or card transactions when:
(i). Personal documentsare expired or no longer valid.
(ii). Biometric information registration has not been completed for Individual Customers using services on ATM/SOL application or by other electronic means.

2. For Organization Customer:
2.1. Temporarily suspend payment and cash withdrawal transactions via demand accounts when: Personal documents of the Lawful Representative and relevant people in the organization are expired or no longer valid.
2.2. Temporarily suspend card transactions for cases:
(i). Personal documents of the Lawful Representative and authorized card users in the organization are expired or no longer valid.
(ii). When using online card transactions but biometric information registration has not been completed for the Lawful Representative and authorized card users (The method of biometric information registration for Organization Customer shall be informed to you by Shinhan Bank Viet Nam in the nearest time).

To avoid transaction interruption, please update your latest personal documents before expiration date at the Bank's Branches/Transaction Offices as well as register biometric information (for Individual Customer) on the SOL Mobile Banking.

※ Personal documents include:

  • Vietnamese customers: Chip-based ID card/Citizen ID Card
  • Foreign customers: Passport, Visa/Resident card/Documents proving visa exemption.
