Recently, in Vietnam, many fraud cases have occurred due to Customers had installed mobile applications that impersonating State Agencies (such as General Department of Taxation, Ministry of Public Security), Banks, Financial Institutions, Telecommunication network operator, etc. on personal mobile devices. These fake mobile applications will monitor users' phone usage behavior, take over remote control, and thereby getting Personal data, Bank Account information to steal money in the account.

To increase vigilance and secure your Bank Account information, please refer to the measures given by Cybersecurity Experts as below:

  • Only install applications on the Google Play (Android operating system) and App Store (iPhone operating system), do not install unknown source applications via link, or APK file (Android operating system) & IPA file (iPhone operating system).
  • Check ratings and read reviews on the Google Play & App Store before installing apps on your personal mobile devices, even if they come from officially developer.
  • Do not access links or scan QR codes received via SMS/email/Social network accounts without verifying the sender's information.
  • Do not provide security information such as OTP code, PIN code, password... to anyone under no circumstances, even bank staffs or people who pretend to be tax-officers, police officers,… in any form.
