Shinhan Bank would like to inform that we are currently issuing Shinhan Visa credit card with Contactless technology and EMV chip.

The Contactless symbol will be presented on the front of Shinhan Visa Contactless cards.

Contactless payment is a modern short-range wireless technology which allows customers to have a convenient and safe experience for making payment at the Point-of-sale:

• This is time-efficient method for customer making transaction. No need to enter PIN/ sign on the
  receipt.
• Gently “Tap” the card or electronic device on the reader for payment.
• Providing high level of security against potential frauds.

Contactless payment is a modern short-range wireless technology which allows customers to have a convenient and safe experience for making payment at the Point-of-sale:

Step 1: Look for the Visa logo and Contactless symbol at the point-of-sale.

Step 2: Tap the card or electronic device over the reader.

Step 3: Complete the transaction.

* When using Shinhan Visa Contactless card, the customer can be able to make transactions at any store has Contactless capability which is denoted by the universal Contactless Indicator as feature on Visa Contactless cards.

** Shinhan is currenty applying the Contactless method for all types of Hi-point card product, and will be applying for other card products.
