As 2016-2017 school year started, Shinhan Bank has completed its selection process scholarships award ceremony to 20 excellent students from Foreign Trade University, Banking University of HCMC, University of Economics HCMC, Hanoi National University. National Economics University and Banking Academy. This is the annual activity of Shinhan Bank within the "Shinhan Scholarship - Inspiring your talents" program with the purpose of seeking for excellent students in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to provide financial support. The total amount of awarded scholarships this year was up to VND 600,000,000.
There were totally around 600 students in North and South regions applied for Shinhan scholarships. After five 03-month-long strict evaluation rounds (academic scores evaluation, IQ test, interviews with Shinhan Bank representatives, etc.), 20 most excellent students were awarded with scholarships worth VND 32,000,000 each, including tuition fee, living expenses and internship allowance.
Through this scholarship, Shinhan Bank wants to create opportunities for students in their junior years can focus on studying without concerns about financial issues including tuition fee, living expenses or other costs, etc.
Besides financial support, selected students are given chances to participate in professional training and soft skill training courses, along with internship and job offer from Shinhan Bank after graduation.
Together with other charity activities, "Shinhan Scholarship - Inpiring your talents" is the clearest proof for the deep commitment of becoming the trusted companion for the development of the country where it operates.
