Between late September and mid-November, people in Central Vietnam was hit by historic flooding and landslides. People suffered a lot from damages by natural disasters. On 5th November 2020, Shinhan Bank joined with Quang Binh Radio and Television to have two relief visits to Le Thuy District and Quang Ninh District, Quang Binh Province to provide aids and donations with total value worth over VND 500 million, which was raised from voluntary contribution of Shinhan Bank’s members and meaningful internal activities to raise charity funds for the flood-victims in the Central, Vietnam within 4 days.
Also, in early November 2020, through the National Fund for Vietnamese Children, Shinhan Bank donated necessities and notebooks to 200 students in Thua Thien Hue province, with a total gift value of VND 100,000,000 and delivered high-quality blankets to 100 children in Quang Binh province, with a total value of VND 50,000,000. In addition, Shinhan Bank also delivered necessities and backpacks to 300 children of 7 districts in Da Nang City, with a total gift value of VND 150,000,000.
